Blessed Sarnelli Community

Living Faith, Sharing Love, Being Hope

A Message from Fr. Kevin Murray

The Blessed Sarnelli Community (BSC) is located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Our mission is to serve people who are poor and abandoned with the help of young adult volunteers.

Many who view our site may recall the first Sarnelli House located on Diamond Street. The ministry began there over ten years ago as a ministry of the Redemptorist community of priests and brothers. Since then we have evolved into a distinct non profit organization.

After working hard to complete a new house, with the help of numerous volunteers, we finally opened for guests on Christmas Eve, 2010. What a great blessing to be open again to serve people who are poor and abandoned.

As time goes on, we will be expanding hours to include other services, particularly showers for guests; however, that phase is still in process.

Please remember our community and ministries in prayer, especially our guests from the streets. Blessings to all!

The BSC is comprised of many people. We consider all who are served and those who volunteer, as well as our benefactors and those who remember us in prayer as members of the community.

Thanks for stopping by. We hope you enjoy our site. Please take a few moments to offer comments.
